What Are Nightly Notes?
- They're the opposite of Morning Pages.
- So they're written at night instead of first thing in the morning.
- They are typed instead of handwritten,
- They're public instead of private,
- They're guided by questions instead of flowing freely
- A completed entry consists of six questions and six answers instead of three pages
- Since they are public others are allowed to comment on them
For an interesting variation on daily writing see 100 words.

It is 12:36 pm. it's not night in Louisville but it is in Ghana and some other places. this is official notice to myself that I'm going to restart these nightly notes. Wrote morning page 735 this morning. As much as I've been writing you'd think my mind would be empty and it is to some extent - in a good way. My anxiety level is amazingly lower. One problem I've been having with nightly notes is the self-imposed structure. It's a love-hate relationship. When I go out during the day it's usually easy to answer the questions but the past few months this self-imposed exile makes it hard to see people doing anything impressive. Anyway, welcome back - you'll hear from me tonight answering the following questions.
- who impressed me the most today?
- what did I do all day?
- when did I leave the house today?
- where did I go today?
- why didn't I get more done today?
